Privacy Policy

Version 2026-09-17 · Effective 17 September 2026

This policy is a plain-language starting point. Have a qualified attorney review and finalise it before you launch to paying customers.

1. Who we are

Action Takers AI (“we”, “us”) provides a web application that helps businesses turn recorded video into social content, with AI assistance and optional human editing.

This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we use it, and the choices you have. It applies when you visit our site, create an account, or use the product.

2. Data we collect

Account data: name, email address, password (stored by our authentication provider), workspace name, and profile details you provide.

Billing data: payment method details are collected and stored by our payment processor (Stripe). We receive billing status, customer and subscription identifiers, and invoices — not your full card number.

Content you upload: videos, scripts, brand materials, voice samples, and related project files needed to deliver the service.

Connected social accounts: when you connect platforms (for example Instagram or YouTube), we receive tokens and profile identifiers those platforms provide so we can publish on your behalf after you approve.

Usage and device data: approximate logs such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and error events used to operate and secure the service.

Communications: messages you send us for support, and records of Terms or Privacy acceptance (version and timestamp).

3. How we use data

To create and secure your account, run your workspace, and provide AI and editing workflows you request.

To process trials and subscriptions, prevent fraud, and send transactional email (confirmation, password reset, billing notices).

To publish content only to platforms you connect, and only after your approval (or other settings you enable).

To improve reliability, diagnose issues, and protect the service against abuse.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. AI processing

Features such as transcription, analysis, research, scripts, and thumbnails may send relevant text or media to third-party AI providers you configure or that we operate under contract.

We use those providers to generate outputs for your workspace. Do not upload content you are not allowed to process with such tools.

5. Sharing

Service providers who help us run the product under contract — for example hosting (Vercel), database/auth/storage (Supabase), email (Resend), payments (Stripe), and AI/infrastructure vendors.

Social platforms you connect, when you approve publishing or scheduling.

Human editors or internal staff assigned to your jobs, only as needed to deliver editing and support.

Legal authorities when required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the service.

6. Cookies and similar tech

We use essential cookies and local storage for sign-in sessions, workspace preference, and product tutorials.

We do not use advertising trackers on the customer product by default. If analytics cookies are added later, we will update this policy and provide choices where required.

7. Retention

We keep account and workspace data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward so you can restore access or we can meet legal and accounting duties.

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data. Some records (for example billing or fraud logs) may be retained where the law requires.

Content you published to third-party platforms remains under those platforms’ rules after you leave.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures such as encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, and separation of customer workspaces.

No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. Please use a strong password and protect access to your email inbox.

9. International transfers

Our providers may process data in the United States or other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards offered by those providers.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal data, or to object to certain processing.

You can update much of your profile inside the app. For other requests, contact us from Help or via the email we publish for privacy inquiries.

You may unsubscribe from non-essential marketing email. Transactional messages required to run your account still send.

11. Children’s privacy

The service is aimed at businesses and adults. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

12. User-uploaded content

You are responsible for the legality of content you upload, approve, or publish. We are not responsible for third-party claims arising from that content, as further described in our Terms.

We may remove or restrict content that appears unlawful or that violates our Terms or a connected platform’s rules.

13. Changes

We may update this policy. When a change is material, we will post the new version with a revised effective date and, where appropriate, ask you to acknowledge it.

14. Contact

Privacy questions can be raised from the Help section inside the application, or by emailing the address published on actiontakersai.com.
